Needing more space, Sarah and Mark Dinwiddy moved to a period farmhouse which became the inspirational spring board for Sarah’s new painting business. ‘When our older children acquired more friends, and I tripped over our border terrier Henry for the umpteenth time, I knew it was time to move to a larger house.’ Sarah Dinwiddy takes up the story listing four points on the wish list which she drew up with Mark, her husband.’ We wanted another period property. We do not ‘do’ modern. I had to have a tree in the garden big enough for a tree house for my son Conrad who is ten. I had to have a kitchen big enough for a sofa and finally, we wanted four double bedrooms as opposed to three.’
